Water before each meal: Pre-meal consumption of water significantly facilitates weight loss and may be a warranty to your dietary guidelines against risks of widespread obesity. Filling your stomach with a zero calorie beverage holds a promising approach. Actually, a study in 2010 involved 48 adults aged between 55 to 75 years divided into 2 groups. Group A drank two cups of water before having their meals while group B did not. All of the subjects followed a low calorie diet during the study. After 12 weeks, water drinkers lost about 15.5 pounds while non-drinkers lost 11 pounds only.

Thus, over the course of three months water drinkers lost about 5 more pounds than those who were parched. Scientists who worked on this research used this evidence and asserted that drinking water at least half an hour before each meal will help you consume 75 to 90 calories less during that meal.

However, most of us forget to drink water every while and let the thirst lead him. So try to have a bottle around in order to make it easier to remember, set an alarm or write it in your “ To Do List “. You can also download applications such as Daily Water or Water Drink Reminder, to stay hydrated.

  2. The best hydration drink for me will always be water, especially since I'm trying to lose weight and cutting back on soda. I've learned to infuse my water with cucumber and lemon and the combination is great. I'm drinking 3 liters of water a day and it keeps me really full - I love it! I also have an app that reminds me round the clock to hydrate and it's so neat! When I'm on the road or exercising, I make sure I also add some hydration drinks to keep dehydration away.
